how your brain communicates with your body

It's the drugs

Have you ever thought about how your brain communicates with your body? Duh, it's science! No seriously, it's science and God's creation of course.

We'll provide a quick explanation of the four feel good drugs, a.k.a. neuro-chemicals in our brain that make us think, move, feel and simply make us who we are.

Step your mental game up

Dopamine

The Mood drug.

80% of serotonin exists in the stomach, tummy, gut, belly or whatever you call your core. Hungry? this hormone is responsible for that.

Serotonin is a hormone and neurotransmitter. It helps regulate your mood as well as your appetite, digestion, sleep, memory and learning ability,  If you're feeling cranky or hangry or suffering from brain fog then a lack of serotonin is the culprit. Get yourself some sleep and a sandwich!

The Pain drug. Endorphins. Running. winning the goal. first place.

The Pain drug.

Endorphins are your body’s natural pain reliever. Your body increases endorphin production in response to stress or discomfort. This powerful hormone is responsible for managing pain and discomfort. Associated with the “fight or flight” response, endorphins help you power through to get the job done.  You got this champ! No pain, no gain!
